For this project, our certified applicators handled painting and coating tasks directly at the APC site, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.

Project:

Supplying of hot-rolled 12” seamless carbon steel pipes and undertaking coating works.

1- Supplying

Kinetics successfully supplied 15 km of 12” pipes, flanges, bolts, and nuts according to the following specifications:

  • Pipes: Seamless steel, Grade B PSL1, conforming to ASTM A53 and API 5L.
  • Dimensions and Tolerances: ASME B36.10
  • OD: 323.8 x 9.53mm Sch. STD
  • Weight: 73.75 Kg/m
  • Length: 12m +/- 300mm
  • Bevel Ends: ASME B16.25 with plastic caps
  • Certificate: API 5L-0695

2- Painting Works:

The pipes underwent a meticulous blasting and coating process to ensure durability and protection:

  • Three-Layer Epoxy Coating: Total DFT 400 Micron
  • Primer: Two-component epoxy polyamide containing zinc phosphate, DFT 50 Micron
  • Intermediate Coat: Two-component high-build polyamide epoxy, DFT 100 Micron
  • Top Coat: Two-component high-build polyamide cured epoxy, DFT 250 Micron
