Project: Supplying 24″ welded carbon steel pipes with flanges and accessories and painting works.

Overview:

Welding and painting works are done by our certified welders and applicators at APC site.

1- Supplying of

  • Pipes: 24" (610mm) ASTM A53 Grade B, LSAW carbon steel, Sch. 30 (14.27mm), Min wall thickness 14mm, Length 11800mm, max. pressure 1500 kpa, Plain ends.
  • Flanges: Slip on flanges Flat Face ASTM A 105 acc. To ANSI B16.5 class 150.
  • Bolting: Stainless Steel ASTM A 193, Grade B8, hex head machine bolts Full Thread, with Stainless Steel A 194 Grade 8 nuts and washer, M30X150mm.
  • Gaskets: Compressed Non Asbestos, 3mm Thick, Raised Face (Ring Type), as per ASME B16.21, 24" CL150#

2- Welding Works

  • Pipe flange joints were connected using the Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) method, with filet and back welds applied to ensure strong, secure joints. Each welded joint underwent thorough inspection before, during, and after welding using Penetration Testing to verify quality and integrity

3- Painting Works

Pipes blasting and coating with 3 Layers Epoxy total DFT 400 Micron.

  • Two-component epoxy polyamide primer containing zinc phosphate , DFT 50 Micron.
  • Two component high build polyamide epoxy coating intermediate coat , DFT 100 Micron.
  • Two component high build polyamide cured epoxy top coat, DFT 250 Micron.
